Shouldn't the Rules Apply to Brenda Wade?

Smack on the front page of today's Daily Times we have a story about retired UMES dean Brenda Wade withdrawing her name from consideration for the Somerset County Board of Education. I get the distinct impression that writer Deborah Gates expects us to have sympathy for Mrs. Wade.

With all due respect, why should we? Yes, she was disqualified for election to the Princess Anne Town Commissioners. So was her husband. However, rather than offer any evidence that either Wade was the victim of any injustice we are simply offered a vague allusion that unnamed candidates in previous elections were allowed to run with fully meeting the residency requirement.

Is it the Gannett's editorial policy that two wrongs make a right? Even if this is so, we should expect better evidence of the first wrong.

I do not read anything that Gates
put in the paper. It is obvious that she is strickly pro-black.
She has never supported anything concerning whites , even for the good of humanity. She is a bigot
and racist . They should have fired her long ago , but , since the times is going down the tubes
she won't have a job shortly.

She's just as big a joke as her husband is...no wonder they are together!

Deborah Gates is a sensationalist, she is not pro-black, she is dillusional about making a name for herself at a worthless newspaper. I've watched her drag good black people's name through the mud to try and make a story. I think her middle name is Slander.

Question for Joe and the Daily Times:

WHY IS JOHN WADE STILL DRAWING A CHECK TO BE A BOARD MEMBER OF THE SOMERSET COUNTY LIQUOUR LICENSING BOARD?

I can't seem to get any answers on my own, maybe you can help. Thank you.

John Wade is a system sucking democrat who knows how to play the system. Don't you boys and girls get it? NOTHING will be done to him lest he toss the race card into the ring and scream foul. So from now until infinity, the checks for doing nothing will continue to roll in. Gotta love the democratic way huh?

Gates is a horrible reporter. She has taken my quotes out of context several times to fit her pre-conceived notion of where her story should go. End result is that she makes it appear that my comments are the opposite of what was intended. Of course, corrections were never made so I stopped taking her requests for interviews. Eventually the DT had other reporters call in her place.
