Princess Anne Makes Historic Vote Last Night

The Princess Anne Commissioners voted on a historic decision for the 2,500 residents of their small Town.

The Somerset County Sanitary District have controlled the water for the Town of Princess Anne since 1958. Last night the Commissioners voted to create a Committee to "take back our water," said President Frank White.

Allegedly the Sanitary District Control hasn't maintained their water for 30 years and the Town is fed up. "We'll take back our water in whatever means necessary," said Frank White. The Citizens clapped and gave the Commissioners a standing ovation during last nights meeting.

The Sanitary District Control determines who can or can't have water and it is stalling any kind of smart growth into the area. Even UMES can't get what they need and the Town Officials have had enough. They've been held hostage, so to speak.

The Town will create a committee right away to determine exactly what they need to do and have already started consulting with a firm in Delaware to look into their own Treatment Plant.

Last year the Town lost $1,500,000.00 in Building Permits because the Developers couldn't get the water to many annexed sites. So why didn't you see this in the Daily Times today? Because their Reporter has a 7:30 deadline and left the meeting before it was even discussed.

Hey Joe...we're all glad to hear this. It's good news honestly. All you need to do is look at the nut job that runs the Sanitary District and then look to see who is on the Board and who the Chairman is. It's Comedy Central. You want some good stories, check into this outfit. Frank will tell ya, it's a joke.

I suppose Waterboy is speaking of Robin Street and Larry Tyler. Neither one of them could pour water out of a boot with the instructions on the heel, much less run government agency overseeing water.

Its about time Princess Anne Commissioners steped up to the plate. The citizens of Princess Anne are tired of that fowel smelling brown piss water the sanitation district has passed off as clean drinking water. As far as I'm concerned, Robin Street and Larry Tyler needed to be educated on what good, clean water looks, smeels and taste like long before they were appointed by the County Commissioners to do a job that they aren't qualified to do. Good job! You county boys really take good care of the town you call your county seat!
