Great idea!! I have applied twice online to have a free two week subscription started and have yet to receive. No follow up call, no paper, no nothing. I mean, I'm asking to have the paper delivered as a new customer and they can't even do that. I feel for those who are existing customers. If they treat potential customers this way I can only imagine how they are once they have you on the hook as a paying customer.

Forget about it. I'll just keep up on things via this site. Saves trees, don't have to look at car advertisement and definitely don't have to peel off those damn stickers off the front page. How annoying are those damn things?

All larger newspapers have retention clerks in circulation. Heck, even smaller ones have someone doing the job as part of their duties. They might not have have the nifty title though.

those stickers for the hotel in cambridge are actually a really good deal. my wife has taken the kids and grandkids there with them and they love it. the pool, the rooms and the food are really top notch. we pull the stickers off, and save the paper for crab eating like the rest of you. you sure need alot more paper to cover the table now a days though.

almost forgot, we dont buy the paper my wife gets it from her mom and dads house, they save it for us for crabs.

The Daily Times has made some tremendous political blunders over the years.

They aligned themselves with the likes of MSTA, US Representative, Wayne Gilchrest, Anti-revenue cap people, pro-taxation groups.

They didn't get to where they presently are over night. Nor shall they get back on track overnight.

It's interesting to see their recent miniscule shift to the right. I encourage them to continue. . . otherwise their alternative is to shut the doors. It may already be to late.
