Now This Is Smart

Everything else is stupid. That is, unless you have an argument with a Mack Truck!

I just passed this car on Rt. 50, and though "Now theres a smart car". Where can a person buy such a car?

Is that a mini cooper? They scare me, they're so tiny.

That is smaller than a Mini. Even if a mini van hit that thing i would be scared for the person driving. Ide rather know ide live if i was in an accident.

yea it looks like that it would be the thing to do, but think about awindy day on the highway or slippery roads or accidents. Why should people put their lives at stake because gas is to high to buy? The real problem is not even just gas for a car, how about heating your house this winter? Somebody needs to address the real problem, and not force people to drive a death trap.

It looks like the Smart Car that you can order thru Mercedes in Annapolis. If it is, you order it now and get it in about a YEAR to 18 months. Costs around $14,000 but the deposit to order it is only $299 or less.

Actually the safety ratings for this car are impressive. It's made by a company called "Smart".

I believe they are actually owned by Mercedes and they are fairly cheap to purchase. $11,000-$19,000 depending on model and options of course.

the warranty leaves a lot to be desired though 4yr/50k miles

if they dont think it will last, why would i

It only gets 45 miles to gallon. My 1990 Geo Metro got 48/53 mpg 18 years ago. Not sure why the mpg on vehicles is steadily declining.

Does it come with a bag to put over your head when you drive? There is nothing smart about that rolling death trap!

It is THREE FEET shorter than a Mini Cooper, and yes, its test ratings are great - IT IS TH ONLY CAR IN ITS CLASS (the MICRO car).

Looks like a speed bump to me.

Those little cars were all over Paris when we were there in April 2007.

What's wrong with a 4yr/50K warranty? The warranty on my Honda was only 3yr/36K.

The Smart Car was a combination of Mercedes Benz and Swatch. The prices in Europe were very appealing, some less than $7,000 They have several models in Europe. The expense was getting one into the states. Check out the mini trucks on ebay that everyone is importing in from Japan for farms and hunting. Its a shame they cant be titled.

Smart car is great....except it requires premium fuel...there goes all you thought you were gonna save!

I wish they made one just a little bigger maybe like a pick-up to carry my tools in for work. Cant say that GM,Ford or Chrysler has anything with that kind of mpg.If everyone would slow down a bit and look out for the other guy it wouldn't be so much of a death trap. The person driving it can go much farther on a gallon than I can so I'm not putting them down, seems to me that's being wise.

It's a Smart Passion For Two, neat idea for trucking around Berlin, and that looks like the one that's always parked at the Berlin Library ...

I had the Dealership on the other side of the Bridge send me some literature, the wait isn't that long but, I have since decided to look at other options.

I have a Japanese Kei truck for my farm, and it is larger and heavier than the Smart Car, yet can't be tagged. One state down south has legalized the trucks for road use.

60 mpg, four wheel drive, and tougher than nails!!!!
