The county budget request includes
$474,100 for the Legislative/Council function and another $563,537 for the Administrative/Executive function. The budget available at the hearings also showed that in 2006, before the county exec position was created, the county spent $453,465. Two years later its over $ 1 Million. In Rick's defense, it looks like the County Exec salary will stay at $ 85,000. What are all the other expenses, positions and salaries involved? In these tight times is all that bureacracy necessary? Were the salaries of the council members reduced when the County Execc started? What do they make? What does Shea and Creamer pull in? Didnt Shea get extra bonus last year? How about Morris and the other staff? Joe, can you or GA or Granddad get the details? Who is policing the bureaucrats?

I will be sure to pay my taxes. Over half of our income tax is used to "support" this illegal war.
I know, I will pray for the troops. I will pray that they come to their senses, and lay down their weapons and come home.
Wouldn't that be great?
Just stop killing. Can we please do that?

My nephew did his stint in Iraq for 18 months, he is in the National Guard and is a staff sergeant for Apache and Blackhawk maintenance.

They lived inside the green zone and their living quarters were mini cargo carriers, 2 to a room. They found a TV with a DVD player in a pile of junk and fixed it.

I sent him quite a few DVD's, some were new releases and others were Walmarts $1 DVD's of Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbilly's, Dragnet, Dick Van Dyke and Three Stooges, just something to remind them of home, Mom and apple pie.
