It's called self defense! The intruder does not have to have a gun, a club, knife, a rope, anything that may cause the victim bodily harm is self defense.
Bag'um, Tag'um and off to the morgue they go. If the mayor won't hire more police officers, just go buy more guns.
"State sanctioned murder?" Are you kidding. Self defense, plain and simple. You break into someones house in the middle of the night, you run the risk of being killed. That's no secret. This guy gambled and lost. Come into my house in the middle of the night and you will leave in a bag - I guarantee it! I will not wait and see what your intentions are and run the risk of you killing me or a member of my family. You create a situation like this and all bets are off.
I commend the homeowner. This is what gun control should be "hit what you are aiming at". We should be able to defend our home and family. But Maryland law won't let you. Maryland is one of seven states with the toughest gun laws.
I guess the idiot that called it state sanctioned murder, would rather the intruder rape his wife and daughters and then possibly kill them. What a fool you are. I work around murderers and rapist all the time at the prison. But I would not hesitate to kill an intruder to protect my home and family. Why don't that fool just take his wife and daughter down to the prison and give them to the inmates and say "Here have your way with them I don't care" What an idiot. Oh yeah we should do something about the laws in Maryland so we can have the right to carry and to defend ourselves.
So thereit is like it or not it is what it is.
And that is why we have the right to bear arms. Eat that you bleeding hearts.
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6 and if the truth be known, so would most everyone else.

I agree with the majority on this blog and that is protect your family and belongings at all cost.It has been our personal findings that calling 911 in a time that you need really quick law enforcement is a JOKE!So like Grand Dad said he got exactly what he should have expected.Kick my door down in the middle of th night and I've got some hot molten lead for you.Its time we all wake up and protect what belongs to us as well as look out for one another.I am quite sure the thug that was killed was not there to deliver a nice gift to the family and got shot trying to do good.
