Harvard's Elizabeth Bartholet, Wasserstein public interest professor of law and faculty director of Harvard Law School's Child Advocacy Program, has chosen now of all times to come out and lay out what she believes is one the greatest threats to the wellbeing of children today: Homeschooling.
This month's edition of Harvard Magazine contains her analysis in an article titled "The Risks of Homeschooling," in which Bartholet essentially explains why people who do not think the way she thinks are dangerous to their own children, because of the fact that they do not think the way she thinks.
Due to the stubborn unwillingness of some parents to hand their children off to state schools to receive their pre-approved worldview, Bartholet thinks that the government should step in and ban the practice of homeschooling entirely.

One thing that I have noticed in recent years is that most college students are super liberal while in school. After graduating and getting a REAL JOB (as opposed to getting a government job), they begin to realize the value of meaningful work and become more conservative.
Eventually this battle will be won! The conservative, Christian Republican won't stand up and fight
and this is what we get from higher education. wake up America.
The headline is wrong. It's not about stopping "conservative" or "christian" influence.
It's about making sure people who are going to be joining society have a proper education in history and science.
America is getting left behind in academics.
Does homeschooling produce ignorant, disrespectful teens? Local schools are full of them.
10:02. What does that tell you about public education? It’s substandard.
Exactly! You telling me public schools are doing a fine job?? I will hire 10 home schooled kids before any public school indoctrinated idiot.
Good shot, 10:04.
anybody want to bet whether or not she is pro-"CHOICE"? once again, the most highly-educated amongst us reveal their true "values"
Lol 8:45 great broad, unproven statement.
So government jobs are not real jobs? Somebody better tell the firefighters, policeman, state nurses, librarians, health inspectors, army, navy....
8:45 it's not Salisbury University's fault they closed down your pappy's coal mine buddy
Well, we definitely learned 3 things from this shut down...Public schools are nothing more than Daycare centers, and a free lunch, and prep schools for our radical colleges....just saying
Harvard's Elizabeth Bartholet is a good reason abortion should be allowed.
11:10 But it is the state universities fault we have ignorant anti american luciferian ingrates who cant even do simple math, have no moral values and are dumber then a bag of rocks.
Take your ignorant comment for example you loser
Hmm, let's see. I'm not looking at the records at the moment, BUT when I looked a year or so ago, in 1990 the US was #6 in the world, but by 2016 had dropped to 27th! Why must the argument ALWAYS be "We're not paid enough". Last time I checked, YOU the educator knew what the pay grade was, and at that point YOU, the educator had the CHOICE to agree, or disagre . If YOU the educator AGREED, then YOU the educator made BY CHOICE a signed agreement wherein YOU, the educator were required to provide the student a NON-BIASED learning environment, doing the best you can to TEACH the student not YOUR OPINION, but teach them how to learn, and source information to learn. So, using the "go to" Pay scale argument, if the pizza delivery dude isnt making what thay want, should they only drive halfway to your house? Should a surgeon only do half the surgery? My point is, YOU agreed to and signed a contract. If said contract isnt enough dont teach....just saying
The perfesser (sp) is an aged (older than Biden) woman with a bio silent on spouse or children. She thinks children are property of the state and that parents should have little or no influence on their education. Her scholarship 'feels' most home schooling is driven by fundamentalist religious views. One track mind that's been mired in the Ivy League since 1958.
No Thanks,
So, my friend's daughter is a sophomore at UMASS. He tells me the kid starting asking ridiculous questions about what she learned at college. All liberal BS. So he says, please research your questions, but you MUST look at both sides of the argument. Not just the first few search results on google. She came back a few hours later and says to him, "Daddy, the government and the media has been lying to us for over 30 years." "That's right honey. Don't believe anything the government tells you." --- "If you want to continue getting good grades, don't tell this to your professors."
