The chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus says the influential group wants a black lawmaker in one of the House’s two top Democratic jobs next year if Nancy Pelosi or other party leaders don’t retain their posts in the new Congress.
Louisiana Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond wrote colleagues Thursday that despite the party’s “celebration of diversity,” a black lawmaker has never held one of the two top jobs.
The Louisiana lawmaker adds, “It’s time we walk our talk.” The letter was obtained by The Associated Press.

To them, being black is the only qualification.
Just wow.
Earn it !
Do blacks represent 50% of citizens?
They don't "celebrate" diversity, they weaponize it.
Congressional Black Caucus
That's some funny stuff right there...lol WTH
The plantation owners(D) will never allow that.
First, you slugs need to win...
Second, if black is your primary qualification - allow me to remind you about what happened the last time a black man was elected solely because he was black.....
That experiment in Affirmative Action was a miserable failure and led to the election of our current president...the dumbocrats showed that no qualifications were necessary - so we elected a man with no political qualifications - but with business experience in making deals...
Best decision this country has collectively made since we opened a can of Whoop-Ass on the brits a couple hundred years ago!
Thanks to the electoral college the experiment didn't move on from skin color to gender as the requisite qualification!
Why? Your color is not a qualification. Wanting more handouts, I guess.
