The incident occurred on Friday, May 4, 2018 at approximately 12:25 a.m. when a Trooper witnessed a silver Cadillac CTS traveling southbound on Old Furnace Road in the area of Middleford Road. A computer check revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the Salisbury Police Department. As the Trooper activated their emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle, the operator pulled into a private driveway on Hastings Farm Road. When the Trooper exited their vehicle, the driver of the Cadillac proceeded to pull off and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle collided into a stop sign at the intersection of Church Road and Concord Road, before coming to a stop. The operator, identified as 21-year-old Mikeyah Brewer of Seaford and passenger, 33-year-old Troy Sanders of Laurel exited the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued. With the assistance of the Delaware State Police Aviation unit, both suspects were apprehended and subsequently taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle was conducted and yielded drug paraphernalia.
Brewer and Sanders were transported back to Troop 5. Brewer was charged with Receiving Stolen Property (Felony), Failure to Stop on the Command of a Police Officer (Felony), Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and multiple related traffic offenses. She was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $7,911.00 secured bond. Sanders was charged with Conspiracy 1st (Felony) and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $6,000.00 secured bond.

Stealing a vehicle another person worked hard to obtain means nothing to these people.
But, if you glance at them for a split second they scream "why you disrespecting me?" as though a major felony has been committed.
