Realistically does anyone think we can arm teachers? Teachers teach, or at least they are supposed to. Trained, armed officers and security procedures are the answer. I just can't see Sister Mary Paul, my old second grade teacher packing heat.

Just as every sailor isn't a SEAL, not every teacher would need to be packing. As opposed to none currently in most states. It's called the deterrent effect. Lots of teachers, especially in smaller communities are firearms owners and might volunteer to carry.
Weeding out those students who are consistently disruptive, or identifying and helping those with serious issues are also part of the solution.
