Joe, about 3:25 AM this morning I heard Stations 6 Parsonsburg, Station 7 Pittsville and Station 8 Willards get dispatched for a reported house fire at 34651 Old Ocean City Road.

Engine 707 got out and responded to the scene.

Engine 802 got out and responded to the scene.

Central had to re-alert Parsonsburg several times and just before they went to dispatch Salisbury, the next due Rescue Engine 604 responded with Chief 616 and 1 fireman. That is wrong, they actually scratched on that call and didn't want Central to dispatch next due Salisbury Fire Department like they should have.

A capital piece like a Rescue Fire Engine should respond with a minimum of 5 qualified firefighters, NOT 2(TWO)!! The manpower should be used to justify having enough people on the capital fire apparatus before it even leaves the station. In a real county fire department that fire engine would have been returned and that officer would have been reprimanded the very next morning. He put the rest of the firefighers safety and well being in jeopardy because he didn't want to "scratch" and have Salisbury cover the call for them.

When real county fire departments are dispatched to a real fire they count minimum staffing on each to make sure the working operations are safe for all staff working the fire. Central only goes by if a fire truck responds and not how many firemen are on the truck. Parsonsburg only got 1 fire truck out with on 2 people on board last night/this morning and they didn't get the ambulance out either. Just like the Level 1 Airport emergency the other night when they didn't get out at all. No fire truck or ambulance got out on the Airport Emergency and the Airport is now their first due.

Parsonsburg and wannabe fire chief Eric Tyler is playing games with the system because he doesn't want the Station 13 volunteers to run mutual aid calls with them or the east side of the county. He is working behind the scenes with Rick Hoppes and the Union officer from the Anne Arundel Fire Department where he works. He doesn't want to get written up or get a bad name because the Union (IAFF) in Anne Arundel County is just like the union in Salisbury. They hate volunteers.

Bob Culver get some balls and do the right thing before someone dies. If a firefighter dies of a heart attack that blood is on your hands Bob Culver and Joe Holloway.

Well if you can't put enough staffing on the equipment then get out of the business. I think the point is your group of wannabe Farmin can't handle the job, but you don't want the Salisbury Fire Department to be dispatched to make y'all look bad.

Not only that you and Fat Tyler don't want Station 13 volunteers to run mutual aid calls with you to give you extra manpower. WHY! Why are you playing these silly games and trying to stop the Station 13 Volunteers from being a legitimate fire department responding to calls. I'm thinking maybe the County Executive should make them the fulltime, first due responding fire department and put Powellville, Delmar and Hebron as second due since you can't get out and you don't play well in the sandbox. Maybe the CE can put Hebron, Mardela, and Sharptown on the Airport Box. Since Eric wants to play grab ass with Hoppes and the Union Thugettes we think it's only appropriate that your station only covers a smaller district with automatic mutual aid on all your calls.
