Suspicious Lost Dog In Salisbury: UPDATE

This morning at 6:30 the two dogs in the picture went outside for their morning run. At 6:35 the St. Bernard returned without the other dog. She was gagging and drooling and shaking badly. I got her in and then started looking for the other dog. Her name is Tess. I called for a couple minutes and she didn't show up. Within minutes I was in the car and drove down the road a bit to where a dead deer had been in the field. Thinking maybe she was trying to drag some of the deer back to the farm. She still hadn't returned. We have been looking for her all day and nothing. What we did find was the second picture of chicken on my property. I am now concerned that my dogs were lured to the road and in an attempt to take them, the one got away. She is so traumatized that she won't move. We are still waiting to see if she is going to show any signs of poisoning. The Shepard still has not been found and there are no signs of her or that she would have ran. Someone said you sometimes post stories of lost dogs.

Omg this is horrible!! I can’t imagine how this family feels- it’s one thing being sad because your dog ran off but to not know if they were lured or poisoned is so sad! Please keep us posted and I pray you find your baby and they are both in good health!

There are many sick people out there, I hope the other dog finds their way back safe and sound. The times have changed, it is best to walk you dogs on leash, so you can keep them away from poison if you don’t have a fenced yard.

why would someone dump a bag of chicken like this unless they were up to no good? I'm sorry for y'all, hope you find your dog and the other does not get ill.

I keep seeing so many lost dogs in this area. I hope they are just lost and will be reunited with the owners.

This is a prime example of why I love dogs more than the human race anymore

What exact neighborhood is this, please?

I hate to say it but this is why I fenced in my yard. Some people don't like dogs and are the scum of the earth. They treat people and animals like they aren't living and breathing.

Saw on FB it's near Johnson and Airport Rd in Sby. Everyone needs to keep an eye out no matter where they are given the circumstances surrounding this missing dog.

I hope that you called the police.

Pray you find man’s best friend. Keep posting and don’t give up. Check the humane society to see if your dog has been turned in. Hopefully people will contact if spotted. Dogs a lot of times become scared and won’t come. Encourage people not to chase but to call if spotted with a location. A great way to keep identification on a dog is an embroidered collar. You can purchase a collar and take to Xpressive threads in the Twilley shopping center and they will embroider name and number on it. Very reasonable!

I pray you find your dog quickly evidently what the other dog saw has really spooked in form a neighborhood search party and see what security cameras if any might reveal. God Bless your dog that is missing.
