Pizza Hut Is Betting $130M It Can Bring Customers Back

While rival Domino’s has managed to pull off a major comeback, Pizza Hut has been struggling for years to turn around slumping sales. In an effort to keep up with the competition, it seems the company figures it might as well throw a bunch of money at the problem.

Pizza Hut has no game. They suffer from the same poor image and stigma as Sears and K-Mart. It is an old brand that does not appeal to younger consumers. The will fade away over the next decade. People 50+ wax nostalgic about pizza hut because they worked there as teen, went there on dates and remember the red plastic soda cups. Anyone under 30 is a Papa John/Dominos customer that orders from their phone and can watch the pizza from toppings to oven to car on an app.

Their business model doesn't work anymore. People don't want to eat in for Pizza. The quality of the product isn't sufficient for eating in.

Sorry you two but I prefer pizza hut any day over the dominos and papajohn and it has nothing to do with the ridiculous reasons you mentioned.

I prefer their thin crust. it is that simple.

Pizza Hut has the worst pizza I've ever had. They all taste like the were made somewhere else, then shipped frozen and reheated. Sometimes, my office gets PH for meetings. I won't eat it.
They can rebrand all they want, but if their pizza sucks, fuget -a-bout-it.

Corporation pizza's are only one step above frozen pizza. I go to where the ingredients are fresh and not canned. Paul's pizza is one of them.

I don't consider Pizza hut to be real pizza. It's more like cardboard with red paint on it.

I'd rather eat the box, than a Domino's pizza. A frozen Digiorno's pizza, cooked in my oven at home, is 10 times better a Domino's pizza. Pizza Hut's problem is long wait times. Pizza is good, if you aren't in a hurry.

I've ordered online from the Cedar Lane Pizza Hut before & it was good. I don't remember the wait time, but I'm not fond of Dominos. If you ask for onions there, you get these huge chunks. They could slice them a little smaller. The other differences are sauces. Some places have sweeter sauce than others.

All this coming from people that thought Zia's was great italian food but now go to Olive Garden because Zia's folded.

I never liked Zia's.
