Without going into a long rant, let me just say a few things about Mayor Jake Day and his most recent attacks against me and SBYNews.
Number one, Jake is running around telling people to view some analytic website I've never heard of to see the real traffic on SBYNews.com. We blew his BS away by spending the week publishing our real traffic twice a day to prove he and his Liberal friends are full of sh!t. This is something we had never done before.
Yesterday we published a horrific story about a local woman who had been raped a week earlier and NOTHING has been put out by the SPD. The victim stated that the detective on the case told her she was the 15th victim of such a crime.
Now, you can either believe the Mayor, who has EVERYTHING to lose or you can believe me. But I want you to THINK about this. There has not been ONE THING put out there by the SPD, MSP or WCSO. No carjacking. No assault. NOTHING! For those of you who say Mayor Jake Day, (and others) said what we published is "fake News", did they at least tell you SOMETHING happened, NO!
Perhaps many of you will recall the article we did years ago when a woman, (prostitute) had been murdered in Salisbury. While I had been immediately tipped off and even sent a photo of the deceased woman, SPD refused to alert the public, even though they had a suspect, a vehicle description and even the fact that there were temporary tags on the vehicle. We published the story, (without the photo) and I was immediately surrounded by the States Attorney, MSP, WCSO and SPD demanding my source, I refused. They threatened to arrest me and I told them, go ahead.
So don't call me Fake News Mayor Day. I've been through enough of Salisbury's games. You seem to be just as desperate to belittle us as former Mayors Barrie Tilghman and Jim Ireton. Let's see, I'm still doing what I do while they are no longer Mayors. The Police Chief is no longer there as well.
What does the public expect, (crime wise) when the City of Chicago, (with all the murders and crime) probably has a higher ratio of home ownership vs. rentals then Salisbury's 80% rental units. Open your eyes people! And where will this Mayor be 20 years from now after all the Section 8, (Affordable) Housing is built Downtown.
Ask yourself this question. Would you or do you feel comfortable/safe as a woman, (or even man) traveling, shopping or visiting Salisbury, Maryland at night? Enough said!
Finally, I have never had a bad conversation with Jake Day. He has never once called me on this matter.

I remember the tactics used by Barrie Tilghman and Mike Dunn to silence the Daily Times...or get them to print fake news.Day is more of the same with GSC likely pulling the strings.
Maybe it's time to reach out to the Trump justice department so they hopefully investigate to see if there is a cover up. The people need to know.

I have carried for years. The amount of gangs and their numbers in the last 15 years in Salisbury has forced me to carry because it has become more violent and unsafe to walk around Salisbury and especially the Salisbury park. It is getting worst every day and nothing being done. Add Salisbury to the "sanctuary city" list and you better wake up. I don't even go to the mall if I can help it. This is one reason you see no new businesses move to Salisbury to shop at.
Everyone needs to email the justice dept and have the feds step in when jake gets arrested by the feds for the cover ups i wonder if it will be on spd website as a arrest or minor detention.
People you need to flood the city council meeting tonight at 6 pm and demand answers from the Mayor and the city council memebers. Sooner or later someone has to force them to make changes needed in SPD (chief) and try and start cleaning up this City that is a hell hole. The masses need to come to meeting and tell the council change has to happen. We can sit back and complain here all day long but until your voice is heard by the people at council, nothing will be done. Demand answers and change people. Jake---------make the right decision and get rid of her. Give her a job somewhere else since she is not smart enough to see what she is doing to the department and citizen of salisbury. Salisbury citizens come to council meeting tonight and raise hell and demand answers.

Not reporting crime has been going on forever in Salisbury, I had a police friend of mine tell me this 30 plus years ago. You would never hear of a murder in SBY but he would tell me we had at least one a week back then.

Speaking of crime..does anyone know what was going on last night in the WOC area around 6:00pm. I was sitting at the intersection of 707 & 50 when a State Police vehicle came barreling through the intersection, lights flashing at least 70 mph. In a matter of minutes 4 more police vehicles were heading east on Rt 50, lights flashing, at a very high rate of speed. Must have been something major. Didn't see anything on any news sites.
I've not felt safe going to Salisbury in 10 years or more. There isn't one Salisbury politician who has a thing to be proud of. Salisbury is the rancid Crotch of the Eastern Shore. And Day is a fool. How that "branding" all that money spent on working out. Boy did those snake oil salesmen see that ignoramus dumb ass coming. The tax payers again getting hosed and a fool allowing it.
Organize a protest at the fire department.

Here is a story for you, when the PD wanted a mounted patrol, it was promised to drop crime by 10%. I know they took B&E's and changed them to MDOP's They went from writing FIR's and mandating them to raise the stats, to cutting them down. All calls for service, and changing part 1 crimes to something else.
What happened, they got horses, and crime looked to be lower.
Its a game played ALL over, look at how colleges get their ratings, they HIDE crime, or "Re-classify it" close it "unfounded"
This is why we need conceal carry, or at least open carry...

You are pretty close with that number of 80% rentals, but I think it is closer to 95%. That is almost 0% - 5% home owner occupied homes in the City of Salisbury. That is sad! That is absolutely sick.
First, where did Salisbury get their numbers from of 60% or so rentals?
Second, a couple of years ago I did my own study by contacting NSCC who is supposed to keep track of rentals. I also called Planning and Zoning and got a list and a total number of properties. I also did a little survey on my own. I spoke to a lot of people that live in Canal Woods and other privately owned condos. I was told by many that they were renting their Condo/townhouse and then I compared it to the list that was online of registered rental properties in Salisbury and found that the owners of these properties are renting them out and not advising NSCC and paying the Rental Fee or doing Rental Inspections. So you see there are a lot of rental properties that are not even registered with Salisbury Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance. With that said this will prove my point that the rentals is Salisbury are pushing 100%.
Now with that given and 500 apartments coming downtown you will get an automatic increase because each and everyone of them will be rentals and more than likely not registers.
One thing is for sure is that any and all cities that are ran by Democrats and have a high number of rentals will produce high rates of crime. It's a fact!
Someone else noticed the same thing I said in reference to Jake Day's childish comments!

11:04- Are you saying this didn't happen? That the victims are all making up how they were assaulted? If carjackings are taking place, they need to be reported to the public so they can take preventative action. After all, that is the duty of law enforcement and the media.
I don't believe fake Day. He never should have been elected. He has done nothing for the infrastructure of Salisbury. And is about to add more section 8 housing as if the downtown area was safe to begin with. Salisbury is no different than it has been for the past 50 years and no matter what they try to do it will never get any better. Salisbury started going to hell in the late 60's. As the older residents died off the slumlords took over. And although Salisbury University is a huge part of Salisbury's economy it is also at the very core of the destruction of Salisbury. When the slumlords took over the college expanded out into the neighborhoods and nobody cared. The slumlords rented out to anybody that would pay them and the retail in the area took a beating so retail and manufacturing moved out. As for covering up any crime Salisbury has and will always cover up any news because it would hurt the college. And as for residents of Salisbury and the surrounding areas to the officials now and throughout the years we never mattered because they need SU to survive.

I was in the emergency room for treatment about a month ago. When I was released I asked one of the officers there to walk me to my car. Very glad I did. There were men standing around smoking and just waiting for the next victim I guess. The officer told the guy he had to hit the road and could not hang around. You decide what he was waiting for.

These people are as bad as the rapist. What is done to women after rape is called "the second victimization" It is done purposely to sweep this offense under the carpet because of the difficulty in the courts. If Mother Theresa had been raped in Salisbury they would have leaned on her to keep quiet to protect her own image. Time for this woman to come forward through a third party (possibly an attorney) and demand justice or at least release of information surrounding the attack so that other women will be protected from this coverup. A third party spokes person can can be a hero by helping to prevent other victims from falling prey. I'm begging someone to help this woman come forward to make sure that justice is at least started.

But during that 50 year period, the powers that be -- especially the Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Salisbury Committee -- either turned their back on the situation or actively assisted those who have devastated Salisbury by promoting the election of truly horrible mayors (Tilghman, Ireton and Day) and city council members -- such as the "dream team" (Dunn, Comegys and Cathcart). And the Daily Times is also complicit.

He was promoted by absolutely no one and accidentally got elected after 7 attempts. He was so desperate to be someone that he stooped this low to be on the Salisbury Ghetto Council. How Damned embarrassing is that!
Here's what gets me. Why did it take over 24 hours for the denials to begin? Seems they had to get together and come up with something maybe and that something is we will deny. I would believe them more if, as soon as the story broke yesterday morning the mayor had immediately taken to SbyNew's FB or commented on here that the story wasn't true. The fact that any response from them took over 24 hours makes it suspicious and unprofessional to say the least.
Better find a way Jake to fix all these problems and fix them fast. Do what needs to be done somehow behind closed doors. You have great people that could fix these issues. If you don't it surly will be your demise and a one term mayor.
Day's political future depends on pandering to the section 8 voters. He has no chance of staying in office otherwise.
Foreclosure rate of properties for sale is at 20%.
That does not include properties not assumed by the banks and marketed for sale, so the rate is actually higher.

Let's not forget how Dunn feathered his father's nest and be alert to Day trying to do likewise now that daddy is in charge of the Perdue plant.

This is what happens when you elect an inexperienced 12 year old to be mayor of a town that's in obvious downward spiral. What can anyone expect? Instead of actually taking the time to do some real investigation on this, which would take literally days, if not weeks, Day's rush to judgment and has audacity to accuse the one person in the press of lying instead of getting his facts straight. This alone should tell you why this Jake character needs to be recalled. Maybe Salisbury needs to go without a mayor for a period of time until an appropriate adult(s) can do a real election. Don't you people think you deserve better or are you happy being treated like dumb gullible morons? I would think you'd want better from your elected representatives!
