Attorney General Jeff Sessions, facing a chorus of criticism over his contacts with the Russian ambassador, recused himself Thursday from an investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. His conversations with the ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, came amid suspected Russian hacking directed at Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

So the guy who meddled with the Russians removed himself from an investigation into the Russians meddling with us...but I thought Mr. Trump said that no one had talked to Russians? Could it be, another lie?
I've been waiting for a Liberal to come out of the closet and ask this question.
Sessions was asked if he had any contact/meetings/discussions with the Russians referencing "campaign issues". He's been honest and said, NO.
Perhaps the Liberal news should have simply asked if he's had any of the above and left out campaign issues.
Looks like the big joke is on the Liberal Media. Kind of like Trump saying certain "celebrities" can grab a woman you know where. Not that HE ever admitted he did such a thing.
4:35 let me see Sessions met the ambassador in his official capacity in a room full of Senators and he met him in a greeting line at a reception. During those brief meetings he was able to seal a deal to not get Hillary elected. Treason I Say. I am so relieved that we have Al Franken to protect us. What a Joke (no pun intended)

I would very angry if most of our top officials did NOT have regular talks and meetings with all other countries including Russia. A continuing dialog is extremely important to keeping up good relations worldwide.
It's his job to talk to ambassadors you idiot. He did not talk to them about the election so nothing was done wrong.

It makes me really angry how easily Sessions caved in just because some mouthy liberals complained (again) about him. Seriously we all know that he didn't really do what they complained about him doing so why did he rescuse himself so easily? I think probably somebody has threatened to take down the President Trump Administration illegally and this is President Trumps way of cooling those fires a little bit. By recusing himself, on a very narrow point, he takes the bone from the MSM and Dem dogs. They'll have to get frothy about something else.
As a sitting senator on a variety of committees he would talk to a wide range of people who approached him; no clue here as to topics. He'd also want to talk to various people in line with official business.
Personal belief is the Russian angle is just a boogie man for the Dems to whip up. Secy of State Clinton had her Reset button with them before she sold them a big chunk of our uranium. Obama was caught on hot mic talking about how much more flexibility he'd have after 2012 election.
Their real fear may be info about how corrupt they were between 2009 and 2017, and that info getting out.
