Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt on Thursday said he doesn’t believe carbon dioxide is a main contributor to global warming.
“I think that measuring with precision human activity on the climate is something very challenging to do and there’s tremendous disagreement about the degree of impact, so no, I would not agree that it’s a primary contributor to the global warming that we see,” he said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Pruitt, who sued the EPA 14 times when he was Oklahoma attorney general, said the record is still unsettled.

Finally some common sense from someone in government
If carbon dioxide was the issue, then I would probably have to mow my lawn twice a week, maybe plant my garden 2 or 3 times a year and food in the grocery stores would be cheap due to over supply.
In the 16th century, it was blasphemy to think that the heavens didn't revolve around the Earth. It was a forced theory by many scientists because it was the edict of the Catholic Church. Copernicus was threatened with death for going against "common believed facts" and the preaching's of the church.
Sound familiar?
All the scientists have been forced to believe that global warming is man-made. Why so sudden? Hasn't man been around for longer than the last 20 years? Are cow's farts suddenly more potent?
Maybe the Earth has gotten a little closer to the Sun. Maybe it's just a cyclical thing in a non-centric orbit. Who knows? But, if a scientist goes against 'popular beliefs' he/she is belittled by the rest of the scientific community. The scientific method is based on proving or disproving a theory. Until it is proven or disproven, it is still a theory - not a fact.
This recent practice of mocking other scientists stifles scientific discovery and is going down a dangerous path, IMHO. Copernicus turned out to be right, after all.
tell this to the LYING Bill Nye the engineer, not the science guy wannabe...
We've all known that it's been ruminant farts all along.
