Twitter: More Interested in #HillaryIndictment than #CubsWin

Trends show concern over FBI investigation into Democrat US presidential candidate

Twitter users are more interested in the potential of a Hillary Clinton indictment than the first Chicago Cubs World Series victory in over a century.

The Thursday after The Cubs scored a historic World Series win turning the tide on a 108-year curse, over 80 thousand people tweeted about it, according to metrics shared by Twitter in their trending section.

But with over 124K tweets as of 12PM Central, the hashtag#HillaryIndictment dominated the trending landscape, meaning more people were talking about the FBI’s renewed investigation into the former secretary of state’s use of private email servers.

Interest in the Democrat presidential candidate’s email case spiked despite the Cubs’ World Series game being the most-watched baseball game in the past 25 years, with over 40 million viewers tuning in.

That was a GREAT series between the Cubs and the Indians! They played their hearts out! My question is, why don't MLB players play like that during the regular season games? I know the World Series is at stake, but the other games would be a whole lot more enjoyable to watch!! :-)
