Donald Trump accused the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday of contorting its mission in order to protect Hillary Clinton – making air-quotes with his finger when he said the world 'Department of Justice.'
'The political leadership at the Department of Justice is trying as hard as they can to protect their angel, Hillary,' he told a packed airplane hangar full of his supporters in southwestern Ohio.
'This is no angel. They want to protect their angel. Did we ever have a situation like this? Seriously.'
He claimed federal investigators favored charging Clinton with a crime but were overruled by Attorney General Loretta Lynch – resulting in FBI Director James Comey giving the Democratic presidential nominee a clean legal bill of health on July 5.
