Early Voting Turnout Passes 2012 Totals

It is the fifth day of the early voting period across Maryland, and it appears then number of people who have voted early has exceeded the number who have voted early four years ago.

The Maryland State Board of Elections reports that nearly 55,000 people have as of 3 p.m. Monday.

That brings the total early voting turnout to 454,917 since Thursday. That beats the 430,573 that voted in what was a five-day early voting period in 2012, which was the first presidential election where early voting was legal in Maryland.

I'll bet a lot of them wish they didn't. Early voting worked to lessen long lines years ago. Today's technology would eliminate the need now.

I voted on Saturday at the Civic Center. More people had turned out then I expected

10:44 Today's technology? You mean filling out paper ballots that take twice as long? It is slow going now because of these paper ballots.

Well being we're talking about MARYLAND early voting, I suppose all the dead democrats have already voted (more than once even) and Hillary is the winner in Maryland even before election day. Just like back when the dead democrats voted in Glendening over Sauerbrey. Baltimore is a hotbed of dirty voter tactics. Always has been, always will be. I am still amazed that Hogan pulled off a win in Maryland, given all the dead democrats that voted against him.

I know a couple of people who want their ballots back after the Comey letter.

12:47 It isn't the paper ballots, it's all the amendments that the voters are struggling with trying to understand to vote for or against. There hasn't been much discussion of the amendments, one way or the other, that I've heard.
