The U.S. Olympic Committee says Ryan Lochte and three other American swimmers were robbed by armed men who stopped their taxi.
USOC spokesman Patrick Sandusky says Lochte and the others left the French Olympic team's hospitality house early Sunday in a taxi headed for the athletes village, hours after the last night of Olympic swimming.
He says "the taxi was stopped by individuals posing as armed police officers who demanded the athletes' money and other personal belongings."
Sandusky says the four swimmers are "safe and cooperating with authorities."

So lets host Olympics in countries that dont deserve it. So they can make the rich, richer - because the poor are out of control. Lets risk our athletes lives by allowing them to go, with out security.
No reason for this, and its a shame that the Olympics have become a league of popularity - and lost the principle of why it was created. Why dont we just build facilities and rotate where they are each year instead of changing locations each year. Bankrupting a host eventually and wasting billions.
Honestly I'm surprised that more problems didn't occur.
And we sent how much money and security to Rio to protect our people?
Baltimore is more dangerous than RIO.
