I have no doubt that many who borderline on fantasy and reality believe this to be true. After all, if you call 911 immediately then the cops will find pristine bodies for the coroner to retrieve. Otherwise, it could be days or weeks.

Yes call 911 and wait. In the mean time while you are raped and killed, the police will arrive to a crime scene to deal with your dead body and the dead bodies of your family. Great plan!!! Better to fight and die, than to not fight and give in to evil. In my own home, I have two dogs who always alert me if anyone or anything is in our yard, I have a baseball bat by each door, and loaded pistol with the safety on at the ready. If they enter my home, I will defend myself and my family.
I won't call 911, I'll call the morgue.
