Porter Attorneys Seek To Quash Subpoena To Compel Testimony At Goodson, White Trial

As the trial of Officer Caesar Goodson is about to begin, the first officer to stand trial in the death of Freddie Gray is trying to block a subpoena forcing him to testify.

Attorneys for Officer William Porter in court motions filed Monday seek to quash a subpoena forcing him to testify at Officer Goodson's trial, and the trial of Sgt. Alicia White, set to begin on January 25.

Porter's attorneys Gary Proctor and Joe Murtha argue that the subpoena would violate Porter's constitutional rights and create a "quagmire in which rights are trampled on all sides."

Porter's attorneys note the state was going to officer Porter immunity, as he faces a retrial in June. They call the offer of immunity, "a farce," and note Porter also faces a federal investigation and possible prosecution.

The Judge is partial to the SA and it shows on previous rulings. The SA will try every trick in the books with this Judge to convict all to cover up their incompetency.

None of these officers can possible receive a fair trial in Baltimore City. The jurors would fear for their life and would create a hung jury, just like what happened in the first case.
