Authorities arrested an active U.S. Marine Tuesday in the shooting death of a Texas college student who was slain after an apparent road rage incident.
Eric Jamal Johnson, 25, was taken into custody in Yuma, Ariz., after a warrant was served by the U.S. Marshals Service, Denton police said.
Johnson — who was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, officials confirmed — was wanted in the New Year's Eve shooting of Sara Mutschlechner, 20, a junior at the University of North Texas.
Mutschlechner was driving in Denton about 2 a.m. Friday after attending a party with her sorority sisters from Zeta Tau Alpha when a black SUV pulled up beside them.
