Pair of Women to Graduate From Army Ranger School for First Time Ever

“Congratulations to all of our new Rangers. Each Ranger School graduate has shown the physical and mental toughness to successfully lead organizations at any level,” Army Secretary John McHugh said in a statement.

“This course has proven that every soldier, regardless of gender, can achieve his or her full potential,” he added. “We owe soldiers the opportunity to serve successfully in any position where they are qualified and capable, and we continue to look for ways to select, train, and retain the best Soldiers to meet our nation’s needs.”

The Ranger Course is designed to push soldiers to the edge, testing their mental and physical capabilities while forcing them to operate on minimal food and sleep, the Army said.

Did they graduate because they were physical fitness freaks or were the requirements reduced to support political correctness. If it was the latter, shame on the Army for lowering its' standards - you have just endangered every Ranger from now on!

Rangers "Lead the way!" I am sure that the set core standards did not change. If my brothers changed our standard then they can have my tab back.

I go to a lot of NASCAR races, and a particular pit crew member is a female and as capable as any man I have ever seen.Kudo's to any woman who can make the grade.

They were a no go. Failed and allowed in again to start at where they failed. Not had to start all over after waiting for a future class. Disgusting deal here.

Changing a tire with one bolt or fueling a car for 13 seconds is alot different then humping a ruc sack for days and carring out a grown man. These woman couldn't carry their own gear without failing. Now instead of starting over they get to start where they failed at and finish. This isn't woman and man standards like the apft. This is ranger school. One standard is all that's acceptable.

My tab means a whole lot less now.

Guy fails, he has to start all over with a new group, girl fails, she can start where she failed and continue with the group. Something wrong here.

If a woman could pass then the standards should be raised.
