And how our food supply is in need of repair
Here’s a disturbing reality: the average woman in America now weighs as much as the average American male weighed in 1960. What’s more, the average weight of a male is ballooning as well. But don’t worry, mega food corporations like Monsanto and soda lobbying groups say we’re doing just fine.
There’s no way there could be a connection between the degradation of the food supply and America’s massive increase in obesity rates, right?
Here’s the latest stats from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): the average American woman now weighs 166.2 pounds, which equates to the weight of an American man back in the 1960s. Now that said, let’s not forget how much weight men have gained over the years as well. Also included in the CDC report is the reality that American men have ‘greatly expanded’ their waistlines, with a 30 pound increase spanning from the 1960s to 2010.

the average Woman weighs 166 lbs??? Holy Cow
I'm 52. I'm 5ft 4in and weigh 120. I am not one bit overweight. I have been buying clothes a long time. What I have noticed for a few years now is when attempting to buy pants/shorts/capris even skirts is that if they fit me in the hips/butt area there is a large gap in the waist area. This goes for misses/juniors whatever kind I try on. I think this is to allow for so many females having large bellies anymore.
The majority of women on the shore are 175+!
Everyone smoked in the sixties. As smoking has gone down/forbidden people have got fatter.
Americans are a disgusting lot of obese sheeples. Thank goodness there are still a few left who take pride in themselves.
I think it has to do with people being less active. I don't have an ounce of fat on me, but I rarely am sitting down during the day. With 13 animals it is difficult. I call the dogs my fur treadmills because we take atleast an hour walk a day and a couple of other shorter around 20 minutes walks a day.
Women used to work at home. Housework is hard and uses a lot of energy.
