Trivia Question
Joe, can you ask your readers if any one remembers the name of the deli on the corner of East Carroll Street and Eastern Shore Drive back in the 1980s?
There was apparently a restaurant where the government building now stands; The Chantry House or something like that.I have lived in or near Sby all of my life and have no recollection of it,but pictures don't lie. That must have been one of very few that I was never in.
I loved Mr.John to pieces but his boys? Not so much.If you recall, his youngest son shot and killed a classmate by accident sometime in the 80's.Deputy John and his parents were good people.

One of the sons chased a car who's occupant stole a pumpkin and caused that car to overturn and kill the occupant.
What happened to that son?
It was L&F Sub Shop, then turned into Parsons Garden Center.
You would not believe how many people have asked me what happened to that place. It was really good in both locations.
Thank you for posting this. I will sleep better night. lol map
L & F sub shop used to be where hospital (cancer treatment)is now. The big mountain of dirt with grass and fence on it. Right on Rt 13.
I miss John Parsons dearly.
LOL who remembers H&J Drive-inn corner of 13 and Zion Road??? Another great little grill totally gone....another not so great place Peggys Stone Bar!
Before John it was Lester and Frank Parsons hence the L&F in the name
John Parsons used to drive a red chevy with fender skirts, lowering blocks, custom pointed tailights and the name painted on it was "Touch 'n Go".
