Did You Get A 1% Pay Increase?

Another week to go, and federal employees will see that 1 percent pay raise for 2015. It starts Jan. 11, the first day of the first full pay period of the year. President Obama promised the raise back in August. Congress confirmed the raise in the omnibus bill funding the government. The president signed it before Christmas.

Now that's an area of government in need of some serious cuts!

Our raises this year averaged 3%. Some got a bit more and some a bit less depending on performance. Same raise levels we got last year.

I wonder how many people who said they got a raise work in the private sector?

12:55-If I ran a business and I had a really good employee I would absolutely give him/her frequent raises just to keep them.Reliable employees who show up on time and do their job well are priceless.

0% after a positively wonderful performance review.

Only state and federal employees saw raises. County will continue to be lowest paid and always singled out as luck to have a job. We live in a screwed up world.

No 6:03. I work in the private sector. No business with the Government at all. About 300 people in the company averaged around a 3% raise this year. Was a good year for us and we have actually started hiring again.

Of course not, I work for Wicomico County.

Always love reading on this blog that I'm overpaid, lucky to have a job, need to take a pay cut, etc.

I make 30k per year for crying out loud..
