Muslim Group Suing Navy Over Alleged Beard Discrimination

A Muslim group is suing the Navy on behalf of a man who says he was discriminated against because of his beard.

The former Navy enlisted man alleges that he requested to keep his beard for religious reasons and was later made fun of because of it. He also claims he was rejected for a promotion due to his beard.

The Navy has not commented on the lawsuit.

Let him keep his beard - and schedule him for weekly gas chamber training exercises.

The gas mask won't create a seal and he will suffer horrendously from the CS gas used for the training...he'll eventually shave his beard. Better than that - use a real deadly agent and the problem will be gone after the first exercise!

That's the rules, chum. Obviously you joined of your own accord. Live with the rules or get the heck out. This country has GOT to grow a set of gonads and stop this foolishness.

Maybe he's Jesus.

Former enlisted man? Sounds like he's having a tough time making things work on his own and has decided to "get religion".

So, don't join, period. You do not qualify. We have our reasons, and they are good ones. Created by past experience.

If you want to join the military in a country that allows beards, well, go ahead!

Poor baby, he might get his beard cut off. Better than his HEAD. (Like his religion would advocate).

I thought religion and government weren't supposed to cross path.

Yeah, they made room for the gays but his beard, never.

I bet the libtards will cave in and let them have their beards and burkas.

Why was he discharged making him former navy? What type of discharge did he received? What is the religion listed on his enlistment papers an dog tags? If he changed religions while active duty, did he notify personnel and have his choice of religion noted on his record and dog tags?
