Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery with Shots Fired

Georgetown - Delaware State Police are currently investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Georgetown area store in which a suspect fired rounds from a gun that occurred yesterday evening.
The initial investigation has determined that the incident happened at approximately 8:45 p.m. last night, Monday, December 15, 2014, as two male suspects entered The Corner Store, located in the unit block of Ebony Street, in the County Seat Gardens Mobile Home Park, Georgetown. The suspects, one of which was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, confronted a 40 year old male employee of the store and demanded money. The employee however, refused to comply with the suspect's demands. The suspects then fled from the business and while doing so, the armed suspect fired rounds from the handgun in the direction of the business, striking it once. There were no injuries.
The suspects were both described as black males. One was 5'11"-6'00" tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was also armed with a handgun. The second suspect was 5'08" tall and heavyset. He also had black hair and brown eyes. No further physical or clothing description is available. No surveillance photographs are available at this time.
