DSP Troop 5 Announces Needy Family Fund Visits

Bridgeville - For over twenty years, Delaware State Police Troop 5, Bridgeville, has participated in the Needy Family Fund which provides Christmas gifts to children in need, necessities to senior citizens, and food items to help needy families prepare a Christmas dinner to help brighten their holiday season. The names of the families who could benefit from the Needy Family Fund are received by Troop 5 from school officials and representatives from senior centers in the area.

This year Troop 5 has sponsored four families and four seniors, two of which are caring for their grandchildren. A total of 18 children will be receiving Christmas gifts donated to the fund. Troopers will leave Troop 5, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. and drop off items at addresses in Bridgeville, Greenwood, Seaford, Laurel, and Delmar.
