Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 5th; the National Night Out in Worcester County. Plan to celebrate a Crime Free community and "Keeping an Eye Out" for each other.
Area festivities include:
Berlin, Henry Park on Flower St at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Pocomoke City, Cypress Park at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Snow Hill, Byrd Park from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
and Ocean City, Fiesta Park, N Ocean City at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Take a bite out of crime? In Fiesta Park? There hasn't been a crime committed up there since who knows when. "Keeping an eye out" for each other apparently means turning a blind eye to all the madness on the boardwalk. From 5-8 p.m., as far as possible away from downtown...why not hold it from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on the boards and to heck with saving Fiesta Park? The thugs don't even know where that is (yet). And the city leaders scratch their heads and wonder why fewer and fewer families come to OC every year...
