SFD Gets Donation From Home Depot

The Home Depot Store # 2561 in Salisbury, MD. and Manager Matthew Burrior graciously donated $680.51 in Specialty Rescue Equipment to the Salisbury Fire Department. The Specialty Rescue Kit is the first of its kind on the Lower Eastern Shore of Delmarva. It will be used for rapid deployment on Industrial Accidents, Farm Machinery Accidents, and Machinery/Entanglement incidents.

The Salisbury Fire Department wishes to sincerely thank the Home Depot Store and Mr. Burrior for their generosity and dedication to the SFD, City of Salisbury, and Wicomico County by their donation.

The SFD membership will train on the Specialty Rescue Kit over the next few weeks and the equipment will be placed on Rescue 16 to better serve the SFD and surrounding community.

LMAO who is the guy in the light blue shirt next to the Home Depot employee. Oh that's right, he's the paid acting Lieutenant that got arrested for DUI recently.

Oh, look at the other guy in the light blue shirt. He he's the acting Lieutenant who got arrested for DUI a couple of years ago also. He got promoted to full Lieutenant and most recently Captain.

Interesting how the worst people get promotions in the Salisbury Fire Department. Speaks volumes about Rick Hoppes and the leadership in the Salisbury Fire Department.

What do you expect, you've got a Mayor that got arrested for male prostitution and running from the police on a beach in Delaware.

That crap will never ever get used on a rescue. They would be better off just putting on a shelf in their utility closet.

That should have been donated to a volunteer fire department. The Salisbury fire department is funded by the taxespayers. Salisbury fire department deserves nothing donated to them.

LOL Every good redneck or handyman has all those tools and more in his truck. What a joke. Looks like a contractor starter kit.

1:37 PM and 2:22 PM I agree with you.

Although your volunteer fire department gets a lot of funding per year paid to them from the tax payers of Wicomico County in the form of "grants."

Who puts their sunglasses on their forehead? Looks like he is a few bricks short of a full load.

Now they can sit around the firehouse and make wooden dolls instead of taking the big red truck out on lunch calls.

I find these comments offensive as a paid fireman. We put our lives on the line for you people everyday..well everyday that there is a real working fire. When not saving lives and property, we need our rest. It is a lot of work to clean and buff these vehicles so they look pretty when we go out to get meals. With all the time we spend working, there is no way we could give back to the community by volunteering as a fireman or otherwise.

Thank you, 547! I know how dangerous a drive it is to KFC and all those other places, and thank you for putting your lives on the line to do that.

Zach Bridges was arrested for DUI and reckless endangerment and is driving on a suspended license and he is still employed by the Salisbury Fire Department. Shows you what kind of piss poor leadership the 'Bury FD has. Good work Far Cheef Richardhead A. Hopeless.

We all know what the A. stands for.

James Lloyd Jester and Zachary Bridges were both arrested for DUI and still promoted by Rick Hoppes.

James Lloyd jester is one of the best firefighters the shore has ever seen. And One of the best instructors At mfri. Nobody's perfect. Even the best falter. Hell when Davis ruark had all his problems nobody spoke out against him. Perverts in the schools hardly nothing said. The flipping mayor is whole other story forgotten about. Yet you constantly hate on the fire dept and jay jester. Get a life people so one day these men and women can save yours.
