The Fruitland Police Department and City of Fruitland would like to announce that they have extended their contract with Brekford Corp. through June 1, 2017.
Extension discussions were complex as the Maryland legislature was debating SB350, also known as the "Speed Monitoring System Reform Act of 2014," which became law on June 1, 2014. Among other revisions to the original 2009 legislation authorizing cameras statewide in Maryland, the Act states that a presently existing obligation, contract, or contract right may not be impaired in any way and that the Act does not repeal any current obligation, contract, or contract right in existence before the effective date of the Act through June 1, 2017.

Take your tickets to court. I have PROOF that the one at 700 Main in Salisbury is 25% off. See the Maryland Drivers' Alliance web page.
The King will be very happy!
Why is it they don't call it what it truly is? The state and local government like to call it a speed monitoring system. When in fact it is nothing more then a speed entrapment system.
Tax collecting! Don't be mad the King lowered your water bill! That is all he ever cared about! What time is Lunch?
The King will be holding a Knighting ceremony this afternoon & will have to cancel his Friday meeting schedule.2 police officers and a municipal worker will be knighted, but that distinction does not include a raise in pay.
The Ceremony will be at Lunch Time so staff can attend on regular pay! After that they will tour East Field and have a work session on very important issues too important to wait until regular council meeting when people who WORK can attend.
I have not been to or done any business in Fruitville since they put the speed traps in and have avoided businesses in Salisbury near speed traps. Sorry no Devages for me.
I was on my way to buy a land lord license and got a speed camera ticket! But my water bill has come down! So instead I went to a lunch meeting and found out that the King wanted to vote for it before he voted against it!
So these cameras trick people into speeding? Confused as to why everyone calls them "traps".
I am no fan of these speed cameras, but seriously people, these things are fixed in the same spot for months or years... If you are stupid enough to get caught by them that is your fault and you probably should not be allowed the privilege of driving....
Amen Anon 1:45. It's not hard to remember where they are. Just quit your bitching and slow down a little when you pass them. You can do 10 over and not get a ticket.
1:45 you must be a Fruitland Cop go back to sleep!
No 2:04, not a cop, anywhere. I drive a delivery truck daily in Wicomico so I guess I just have an advantage of knowing where they all are.
Hilarious that someone is so obsessed that they take the time to make several posts that if you add up, still equal an IQ of 3. Same old posts....blah, blah, blah. Whoever you are talking about should be flattered.
Do you drive a e mail a blog! Nice Try! 2:02 Go ten over in Fruitland and see! Unless you are a cop too!
3:07 Finally you answered! Ha Your IQ must be 2 ! ha same old King
3:31 was 4th grade hard for you?
Just way for towns in Maryland to collect speed tickets like towns in Delaware. Total rip off, just another way for government to screw us.
I too do not do business in Fruitland. I haven't since they started the speed cams.
And for those who think they are permanently placed, you are wrong. They easily can and do move them around.
