The Pentagon built the American military base in Baghdad. It is called the Victory Base Complex. Maybe the militants will keep this name, out of spite. Baghdad is about to fall to the militants.

If you really want to search back to ancient history then Clinton is at fault. When Osama Bin Ladin was offered up to the United States, Clinton passed.

This is a ridiculous liberal assertion. Saddam WAS the same as these Sunni muslim extremists. He did the same to Kurds and Shiites too.
They were doing this back when George Washington was president. Can't we blame him?
1043, the difference? Saddam was NOT an islamist extremist, had no tangible Al Queda affiliation, and he was a direct opponent of expansion of Iran. We wasted 10 yrs of war in Iraq while Iran built nuke capabilities,long-range missles, and increased their capacity for to support extremist groups in other countries. Go figure.
