Hi joe, first time commenting on your blog. There is so much violence and negative happenings going on in Salisbury and surrounding areas that I think you should have a section devoted to random acts of kindness. First my name is June Boyer and my husband and I moved to Delmar 2 years ago to be closer to family. We live on the second floor of an apartment complex because its all we could find close to our budget. On Friday I went and did our weekly grocery shopping and my husband was feeling ill so he couldnt help me. Carrying 10 or so grocery bags up a flight of stairs is a difficult task for anyone in their 80s and I was definitely struggling. A nice young man saw me and politely asked if I could use some help. I didnt want to bother him so I declined and he says "Its not a problem at all mam". He carried 8 bags of groceries from my car to my kitchen floor and really made my afternoon seeing that there still are kind and helpful people people among us. I didnt get his name but he works for a company named MY WAY LEASES and wears glasses. To that young man if you read this know that you made an old woman smile and its people like you that give us older generation hope. Thanks again.

5:04pm Yes, I agree with you. There are so many acts of kindness which go unnoticed every day. Unfortunately, most people thrive on the negative issues, gossip and the ugliness of situations.

I dropped some money, unknown to me, and a kind woman picked it up and followed me to my car & returned it to me. I didn't get her name & I am so angry at myself for not doing so. She handed it to me & left. I did have a chance at least to say thank you.
