The annual Consumer Reports auto issue is out, and among all of its suggestions for the best vehicles in just about every class is a list of what it says is the worst used cars and trucks you can buy.
Based on a survey of its subscribers, the collection covers vehicles from the past decade that have been reported to have “much-worse-than-average overall reliability” for multiple years.
The list is limited to vehicles with at least three years of data, and specific issues aren’t mentioned.

I see GM is well represented on the list.
I see Ford is very well represented on that list too. GM has 6 vehicles on the list, 2 of which are Saturns which is no longer a problem. Ford has 5 vehicles on the list (inc the Lincoln). The saddest part is that the F250 & F350 diseils are in that list.
consumer reports is and has been a left wing pro-japanese car rag.
Buy AMERICAN
i don't buy anything but Honda or Toyota and i always hear about "buy american" but they are the best vehicles period.
I use to purchase used cars that were well used and cared for. Today I will buy only new and see my money fly out the back window as I drive off the lot. BUT ...at least I know I am driving something that has not been in a flood, recalls ignored, poor maintained, painted over after a major collision. I know.. every one will say there is an app for that. It is my life on the line and I want to make sure the odds are in my favor in an accident. And NO my car is not American made. SAD
Ford diesels are on there because of the high repair costs.
Toyota all the way.
Go Mercedes Benz, bmw , Audi !!! Real cars!!!!
