Turncoats McCain And Graham

Fellow Conservatives:

John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are back at it again.

Last month, they called Rand Paul (R-KY) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) "ridiculous" and "wacko birds" for mounting a filibuster to stop the federal government from attacking Americans with drones without due process.

Now they're criticizing Senate conservatives for working to defeat a sweeping gun control bill written by Harry Reid (D-NV) that creates a new gun tax and a federal gun list to track American gun owners.

McCain and Graham say they just want to debate the issue, but the only reason to bring a gun control bill to the Senate floor is to pass it. Once the bill gets over the initial 60-vote hurdle and Harry Reid starts buying senators off with various amendments, it will be almost impossible to stop.

A vote to bring Harry Reid's gun control bill to the Senate the floor is a vote against the 2nd Amendment.

And a vote against the filibuster led by Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Marco Rubio (R-FL) is a betrayal of our principles.

SCF is doing everything it can to win this important battle. In fact, we launched a national radio and television campaign yesterday to collect 1 million petitions urging the Senate to defend the 2nd Amendment. Please call 1-800-605-1755 to add your name to the petition.

"turncoats", "traitors", "war on [this]", "war on [that]". You ever thought that maybe if we went into policy debates armed with just the facts and an understanding that we are all looking to make the US a better place, we could actually get some positive things down instead of staying embroiled in the same ol' battle politics.

The 2ND amendment is not up for debate. PERIOD.

1023-What's your definition of "a better place"? The assault weapons ban didn't stop Columbine from happening.

Political suicide to fillibuster this bill. GOP lunatics

Gun confiscation does not equate to a "better place" --that is exactly what Germans under Hitler believed, Russians under Stalin believed , Cubans under Castro believed, Venezuelans under Chavez believed, Chinese under Mao believed. How willfully stupid and illogical can you get 10:23? Think there is ANY CORRELATION between complete Government dictatorships and GUN CONFISCATION? Leftists democrats are THE MOST willfully and completely illogical and immoral people on the planet.

Note I did not stake a single policy stance in my comment, yet 1035 and 1049 went into attack mode. I actually believe banning assault weapons/magazines is simple window dressing that will have little to no impact on gun violence. But thanks for showing us that my comment at 1023 was right on the money. With folks like you joining into the debate, its no wonder the country seems so divided.

Part of the reasons that McCain did not win his run for the WH.

This does not surpise me about McCain. Just look at his record as a member of the Senate Armed Services committee and see how he has tried to destroy the benefits for military retirees, verterans and disabled veterans. And this is a man you could not imagine trying to pass some of this legislation, his father being a Navy Admiral, and all he (John McCain) went through during Vietnam

If you think regulations are unconstitutional take it to the Supreme Court.

12:39, duh, if we debate it now and discover it should never be made into a law, then there will be nothing to take to the Supreme Court to ask to be struck down! What are you smoking?

1102-How exactly did 1035 go into attack mode? Simply pointed out a factual statement, without any mudslinging whatsoever.

I think you are the lunatic. It's spelled filibuster by the way.

McCain needs a "background check". Sometimes I think he is a Manchurian Candidate. What a treasonous sack of shitake mushrooms (keeping it PG).
