US EXPECTED TO INCREASE AID TO SYRIAN REBELS

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration's next step in aid to Syrian rebels is expected to be a broader package of nonlethal assistance, but expanding from food and medical supplies to body armor and night-vision goggles, as the U.S. grapples for ways to stem the bloodshed from Syria's civil war.

However, President Barack Obama has not given final approval on any new package and an announcement is not imminent, a senior administration official said. The U.S. continues to oppose directly arming the Syrian rebels, in part out of fear that the weapons could fall into the hands of rebels like those who have allied themselves with al-Qaida in Iraq.

Secretary of State John Kerry hinted at the new nonlethal aid package this week, saying the administration had been holding intense talks on how to boost assistance to the rebels fighting forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad.

There is a Muslim terrorist currently occupying the White House. What a bunch of idiotic morons that voted for him, not once, but twice.

Under the lack of leadership under the Democrats us taxpayers are now supporting al-Qaeda. So we now fund the people who want to kill us.

3:47 Correction... Who have already killed Americans on our soil. But, now they're OK.

Kerry should be flipping burgers, not being SOS. Horrible selection.

I have a question. Under the Freedom of Information Act, can I request Obama to release his college transcripts? As he is a paid employee of the Federal Government I demand it.

Is it just me or does Kerry look like a freaking moron. With all his power and wife's money something could be done about that. Unfortunately the STUPID part (as displayed by one of his first official acts of giving the Muslim leader of Egypt millions of our taxpayer dollars) cant be fixed.

9:29,

No, you are not alone in your assessment of the photo. My first thought about that photo was embarrassment at the blank, nobody's home look in Kerry's eyes.

Yes, this is much like the sponcering the US provided to Osama bin Ladin and al Qaeda to help fight the Russians in Afghanistan. They later turned on the US when the Saudi's turned down al Qeada's help to run Saddam out of Kuwait after he invaded. bin Ladin didn't want the infidels from the west on holy Muslim soil. Just another case of regime change supported by the US with many outcomes being as bad or worse than the blood thirsty regimes they overthrow. Once we help stabilize Syria, they will be well armed and help Iran to inflict damage in Israel.
