Well I'm sure there are many service members and veterans that are gay that are proud that the people of Maryland did the right thing. These gay veterans served and many I'm sure have died in defense of this country. Fighting for the rights of others while they had none of their own. I stand in reverence today to ALL veterans that deserve to be recognized
Amen my brother. About the ALL veterans. I disagree that the gay members of the armed forces had no rights of their own. They had all the rights the rest of us had. I don't remember marriage being in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, although it has been a very long time since I read them.
Gay people that where in the military had no problem not being OUT now what they should be outed and stare at straight guys in the shower and look at you up and down i dont think so i dont FORCE my Straight ways on gays dont force yours on mine.
They served their country to help defend ALL Americans.
This country is divided enough without giving people more reasons to hate each other.
It's time for this country to start moving forward and working together.
I think congress should give Obama everything he wants. In two years if the republicans can say they gave the president everything he wanted and things still aren't better, it proves his agenda is a failure and he has nobody to blame but himself.
It will be a perfect time to vote and dominate both the Senate and the House of Representitives.

Gay or not, anyone that fights for our country deserves respect. Disappointed that you're trying spin Veterans Day into a political battle.
