"Riverside Idol": This year's carnival will feature a singing contest to determine a "riverside Idol". Winners will be determined with votes cast by carnival attendees.

This is a great event. Let's all support it, I'm going.
Never heard of this before but we will be going to grab dinner. We've been doing that with all these type of events that are mentioned here on Sby News. Went to Pittsville FD carnival twice. The first week they didn't have the soft crab sandwiches so had to go back the second week which was fine with us.
They have great crab cake sandwiches!
There's also Chesapeake Bay Farms ice cream.
