Mitt Romney paid $1.95 million in federal income taxes on 2011′s investment income of $13.7 million, meaning his effective tax rate was 14.1 percent.
In 2010, Romney paid nearly $3 million in federal income taxes on his 2010 investment income of $21.7 million, meaning his effective tax rate was 13.9 percent.
Of course, the Republican presidential candidate’s tax rate for both years was pushed downwards by the amount he donated to charity.

Thanks Mitt, now can you show us, at the very least, your 2002-2009 returns. I would love to see how someone, not running for President at the time, did on his taxes and what rate he paid. I know it will never happen, because he refused to show his returns when he ran for Governor of Massachusetts. Can't wait for the Republican civil war when this RHINO loses the election. Hopefully the Tea Party will wake up and form a true third party. Its funny, government wants competition in economics, bit when it come to government you only get two choices for President since they only allow 2 people into the debate.
Where is Harry Reid now bitches?
Well at least he showed the 2011. Obamas is probably not any better. I believe ALL politicians are crooks. and at least he showed something....as opposed to Obama who has even hid his birth certificate as well as college records etc. Please folks concentrate on the fact that he is a terrible president who wants to blame everything on someone else. He needs to go!!!!!
Mitt Romney had no job while he ran for Gov. of Mass. Then he took no salary while serving as Gov. of Mass. He took no salary while taking over the operations of the Olympic Committee. That accounts for about 12 years with no salaried income. But of course, that will not satisfy those who dislike him or those who have bought into the class envy onslaught!
I don't care nor do I see any point in seeing any candidate tax returns. The only reason would be if they broke the law and one thing is for certain-the Romney's do not break the law. They are decent honest people unlike the cess pool of humanity that obama and admin has proven to be.
People like 7:41 will never be happy. They are the brainwashed masses. Yes. The man made money. Yes he paid taxes. and Yes, he even gave to charity.
How pitiful are you guys to keep demanding MORE and MORE information from this man while lauding your messiah who can't even prove that he is eligible to BE the POTUS?
Obama refused to even provide a birth certificate that would satisfy a legal requirement of holding office. Romney paid more taxes than 90 percent of citizens in the country, and certainly more than the nearly 50 percent that pay none at all.
More obama distractions to take people's minds off the real important issues of the day. obama hasn't one accomplishment to run on so he's using these diversionary tactics.
Common sense dictates that showing one's tax returns serves no purpose-NONE.
I don't even bother arguing with people who think otherwise. They are the same ignoramous' who think you don't pay taxes on oversees accounts.
People are so stupid to allow themselves to be brainwashed like they have been by this admin.
He pays the capital gains (or investment) rate which is perfectly legal. So, he makes lots of money which shows me he knows what he is doing, something the Obama administration sure doesn't. He is also generous with his donations which makes him a good person.
The 2011 taxes show nothing. He needs to provide the others.
Why 5:13? What exactly is it people are looking for? The guy is rich as heck and he's not a tax cheat because if he were, we would have known that a long time ago.
The only reason that anyone would want to see them is because they are nosy-PERIOD! Goes to show the mentality of the Obama supporters. More worried about Romney's tax returns which are a NON issue than the important issues of the day.
You people amaze me!
513-Last I saw the IRS hasn't come after him. If he clears the IRS hurdle, he clears mine.
In other news, Obama is a complete failure.
