Carriage Rides On Boardwalk To Begin In October

The Ocean City Council moved Monday to proceed with a plan to bring horse-drawn carriage rides to the Boardwalk during the off-season, using the same vendor that provides the service to Berlin.

Randy Davis, of Salisbury’s R&B Ranch, first went to then-interim city manager and Mayor Rick Meehan with the idea in May. Since receiving preliminary support from council, Davis has been working for the past few months with the assistance of the Public Works Director Hal Adkins on coordinating the logistics.

Adkins’ and Davis’ final plan, developed with the Ocean City Development Corporation, the State Highway Administration and the city’s Special Events department, would involve two routes.

sounds great, but this is the same guy that did the rides in the park at xmas, charged way to much for any family to enjoy. make it reasonable.

Many are hoping Dennis Dare returns in the form of a Councilman that could help put an end to this spending foolishness.

Randy Davis did an excellent job for my wedding and was more than reasonable. Exciting!
