National Guard Reduces Pay In War Zones

A member of the National Guard or Reserve earns less when they're serving in a war zone than they do when they're at home training. An officer can make nearly twice as much doing drills on a Saturday or Sunday than being on active duty in Afghanistan. The Pentagon says the discrepancy makes sense. They say the higher pay for weekend training is an incentive for citizen-soldiers. But it's one of several issues detailed in a new report on the the complicated Guard and Reserve compensation system.

Shows how proud Americans are of our soldiers... Good show of support! Truth is, many people support soldiers and soay they are for the military but do not think of the wars we are in or care about them unless they have someone they know over there.
Congress should pass a bill that puts a war time tax on all citizens during any campaign that last more than 90 days. Do you think we would still be in Afghanistan if we were being taxed just to pay for that war?

Nobody is stupid enough to disagree with this. Take a look at the murder rate in our big cities. More people lose their lives here than in Afghanistan. The administration does a better job of protecting the citizens of Afghanistan than they do in Chicago or any other crime ridden city.

Keep putting these idiots back in office.

Of course we would still be there. WE ARE BEING TAXED FOR THE WAR.

They were spending 5 BILLION A WEEK on middle east wars. I have no idea what the price tag is now.

Wars only bring us closer to our own demise. The god of this world makes sure of that through his control over governments, corporations and of course the individual.

This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Israel became a nation, once again, basically overnight in 1948. This event, I believe, marked the beginning of the generation that will not completely pass away before Jesus' Second Coming and what is described, both good and evil, in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Revelation 6 comes to pass.
