THE DAILY TIMES DOWNTOWN DUPLICITY

Thank you, George Chevallier, for reminding us that a few years ago the DT's offices and plant were relocated away from downtown Salisbury. Now the editor of the “newspaper” would have its few remaining readers believe that it is a big backer of downtown.

Greg Bassett has never learned that you can't fool everyone.

The Daily Times lies again. As of 12:55 on Saturday the petition had 515 signatures. Approximately 47 were legitimate. The rest are signatures from Queen Elizabeth, Howdy Doody, Mister Spock, King of Mars, etc.

I got a laugh when I read George's comment. If the DT's gave one hoot about Downtown they would have stayed there.
As far as the mayor's petition everyone I know thinks it's tacky or even worse for a mayor to start a petiton attempting to force the other council members to vote for his plan.
