The Wicomico County Branch #7028 of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold its Back-To-School Rally at Salisbury Middle School on Morris Street in Salisbury from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Every summer for the past seven years, families of Wicomico County students have had a chance to get “pumped up” at the NAACP Back-to-School Rally. The NAACP Back-to-School Rally is an event meant to encourage both students and parents to realize the fundamental value of education. Children from Prek through eighth grade in the public school system are encouraged to begin the school year with a commitment to attend classes and succeed in all their course work and activities.
Mark Thompson will be the master of ceremonies of the program, which includes an inspiring presentation and entertainment.
