The city of Oakland, California has been issued an ultimatum by a federal judge: either figure out a way to handle the flood of complaints against the police or start being sanctioned.
District Judge Thelton Henderson has demanded that officials in the Bay Area city start determining this week how to deal with the abundance of accusatory statements filed with Oakland authorities, specifically citing the flood of complaints that have come in over how law enforcement conducted themselves during raids on the city’s Occupy Wall Street protests. In a decision made this week, Judge Henderson says that the Oakland Police Department must submit their proposal on how to handle the grievances within the next week or else be sanctioned by federal authorities.
Calling into question the police department’s documented mishandling of protesters demonstrating there under the OWS umbrella, Judge Henderson says that cops have time and time again resorted to "an overwhelming military-type response" when conducting crowd control during a series of events in recent month that have become especially commonplace since the Occupy movement began last fall.

Damn. Look at that. ALL the "bad apples" must have moved to Oakland. Where, I'm SURE, there are cops who make the claim that "yeah, there are a few 'bad apples' in our department, but most of us are just good cops". Hard to say when a judge pretty much indicts the ENTIRE department. Who also happen to look the other way when they see their "brothers (in arms)" hitting unarmed people in the head with a full swing of their baton, or shooting gas canisters at the heads of military veterans, or gang-beating women who are already on the ground and being submissive (whats the alternative when 5 cops are kicking and puching you?? Oh yeah-- "resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, hindering a police officer, and the winner of the contest, obstructing justice" and by "obstructing justice, I mean she didn't let the cops KILL her. The cops who witnessed these crimes (they ARE crimes, even if committed by someone with the get away with anything "badge") can't claim to be "heroes" or protectors of the people (didn't Giovanni Jones talk about "running to the aid of a woman getting beat up"? like he was always going to stand up for what's right?). He NEVER did(nor did any other cop, answer the question posed now, and then --- What did YOU (a cop) do when YOU witnessed the so-called "bad apples" running roughshod over handcuffed citizens? Answer? NOTHING. NOTHING AT ALL. WE (cops) not only commit crimes, but let each other commit them, too. You know, just like the Crips, The Latin Kings, the Bloods and other gangsters. the difference? Crips go to prison. The cop gets "Officer of the Year". And lastly -- just for you Giovanni, there is a lot more, a WHOLE LOT more video of the rampage in Oaklnad than just "90 seconds of shaky cell phone video eited to show only the best parts" (your words, I believe, to rationalize the THOUSANDS of videos (many, many, many of which are part of official court records). Back to the question, boys....and I'm waiting for the answer--- What did YOU do? And please stick to the facts, and not some childish reference to your short penis or stature. And man up.
