"...you mightta coulda kilt me."

Actually I don't see where the guy goes crazy? Just doing his job.

The point is, these people want to cause a problem, then, so be it. I truly don't think the police officer was there because he had nothing else to do. If you look into it, Wall Mart called the police.

I read the first two comments then watched the video.
5:34 and 5:41 Are you both cops?
Truthfully I believe you are because the level of ignorant speculation is telling. Not to mention how many constitutional violations there are which you obviously know nothing of.
Lets speculate a little more.
If the guy in the uniform was not an officer, what would REAL police charge him with? The list of violations would be long and would read something like,
Terroristic threatening>
Assault and battery>
aggravated assault>
assault with a deadly weapon>
disorderly conduct>
And whatever else they could come up with that would fit the video.
Evidence such as this is the reason cops get very little respect. That ticks them off, so, in turn they respond with retribution in any manner they can like the vindictive juveniles most are..
As tough and benevolent as they claim to be, they sure are a scared bunch of ninny's. Shooting dogs, killing unarmed people because they feeeel threatened.Waaa!
Ninny's.

Cops like this should be immediately terminated and prosecuted. They are to enforce the law and NOT above the law.

7:16 & 8:59... It's people like you two who create something out of nothing. Were you there to see the actions NOT caught on camera? You people eat this up and rant about police feeling above the law however he clearly asks for ID (and whether he is police or private security at this point doesn't matter one bit) and is told that they don't have to show any. This alone is resisting the request given them. These people are fishing for a reaction (to whatever actions they deem fit) and then YOU people sensationalize a load of NOTHING and for what? Guess it makes you feel better about yourselves... Good luck with that...

When people realize that they are not the masters of every domain and must obey the law and follow instructions when on private property and in public places then this wouldn't even be necessary.

The cop should have had his ass handed to him ..... those 2 guys were doing nothing other than using some foul language..... which is a right... recording a cop is also a right especially in a huge violation of these guys rights in general

I wonder how much this cost the poor broke taxpayers? Seems there are always cops at every walmart. At least walmart should hire their own security to deal with their customers and real cops could concentrate on ALL the murderers, rapes, muggings, home invasions, car jackings, robberies, etc.... that go on every day in this crime ridden country.

@9:21
If you believe it is lawful for a cop to ask for I.D. under false pretense with no cause in this situation,(he had no right or justification other than harassment) then why is it illegal to ask a possible illegal alien for I.D.?
Double standards.
Libtard ninny's.

I have to agree. While driving is a privilage, being an American is a right.

I saw this video as a rent-a-cop having a chip on his shoulder for black people enjoying themselves.

He was in a pissy mood and started abusing the little authority he had to threaten these young men and that's exactly what he did.

Wanna be cops like this give true professional Police Officers a bad name. You have to be in the Police Business for the right reasons. Unfortunately, some Officers are simply angry people with chips on their shoulders and forget the real reason why they are in the job they are in.

It's even more unfortunate that here on the Eastern Shore, finding Police Officers or people intersted in becoming one are few and far between, hence the Academy classes being so small.

The days of sifting through the good and bad is no longer, they must take what is out there. This is my biggest concern with the Sheriff's Department getting LEOPS.

Look, I agree they need more insurance and disabilty, that's a given. However, once they get it a LOT of veteran officers will immediately retire, leaving an incredible hole where positions will need to be filled.

Unfortunately that will mean there will be Officers simply filling in open slots that more than likely won't have their true profession in mind and more about control and power.

After actually RESEARCHING this video some more light is shed onto the situation. Yes, I know that the idea of actually trying to find a news story on a video from the internet is scary to most people, it normally makes things a little clearer and gives situations some context to actually help judge the circumstances.

This off-duty police officer is working as an employee of Wal-Mart as a security guard. However, being a police officer he still maintains the powers afforded to a police officer even if he is off-duty. As a private business Wal-Mart has the right to tell people on THEIR property that they can not do certain things. Is it illegal or outrageous for a strip club to tell people they can't film on their property? No. So why is it so outrageous for a security guard at Wal-Mart to tell people they can't film there if they're becoming a nuisance, or even if they aren't a nuisance, it doesn't matter.

The majority of the videos on the internet that are of this nature are all conceived the same way. People incite situations with the police in order to garner a reaction and then when they do garner a reaction they want to cry about it and act as if it wasn't the exact reaction they were looking for. These kids were acting like jackasses and even after an employee (the police officer) tells them not to film him they decide to push their luck and make a point to film him anyway and then laugh about it because they think it is funny. Well they got exactly what they wanted, his full attention.

He's a security guard, not a police officer.

Sworn police officers hired by private companies while they are on off-duty status are still police officers. They are still held to same rules, regulations and laws that apply to them when they are working for the department that hired them. Private companies that hire police officers to work off-duty security contract with and directly pay the jurisdiction, who in turn pays the police officer in his/her normal paycheck. Most "security guards" do not have the power of arrest. Let me assure you that this off-duty police officer, even though he's working in a private setting, is still very much a police officer in every sense of the word.

These people that sometimes call themselves cops are nothing more than bullies carrying guns.It is apparent that its a them against us issue when people say things like "you people".Cops cross the line everyday and think its allright because they are cops.In Md only the driver has to show ID. Any passengers upon request must tell who they are and where they are from. Whats funny is when you know and explain your rights the cops take offenses because its at that point and time they know that you know what their job is. There are some decent cops out there but they stand alone. With all the new gaggets out there today you will find that justice will be served on them as well. As far as the videos I saw several cops employing deadly force when it was not necessary. Kicking a person in the head is deadly force. Any force used that can cause death is deadly force. The problem with most cops is there egos are much bigger than their guns.

Public Masters. Those two guys should have beat that fat ass cop to death and left an sign on his chest. The courts have ruled (I know the court rulings only get paid attention to when they favor the police) that in a public area, there is NO right to privacy. The ruling is used to justify millions of photographs being taken (every day, across the nation) by every level and jurisdiction of police of INNOCENT Americans and STORED for "future use". Its used to justify the filming (by police) of LEGAL, and NON-VIOLENT protesters. But when CITIZENS film (try filming in New York City) the police, or public places, or taking the picture of police, then its grounds to beat you, confiscate and destroy your property (without charge, arrest, or compensation), or KILL you for "resisting" (as the cop in the video said, they were "resisting" by not complying with his "commands"). Like I said, a few cops need to be on the other end of the Gestapo, storm trooping, heavy-handed power trip and maybe we could get started on taking this country back, just like Thomas Jefferson recommended we do occasionally. And we all know how it turned out for America when we followed his directions before.....

Baltimore city has paid out nearly 17 MILLION dollars in two years for claims against the police department.
Fact.

8:55am: When I interject my beliefs on illegal immigration then and only then can you even begin to understand where I stand. Your nonsensical rant only helps the rest of us see that forming grown-up retorts using the facts given is out of your league.

I hope middle school isn't too much for you as high school will definitely give you a run for your money...
