Trayvon Martin Killing: George Zimmerman's Attorney and Friend Speak Out

The attorney counseling George Zimmerman, who shot unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin as he was walking home from the store with a bag of Skittles, says if charges are filed, Zimmerman will argue that he acted in self-defense and that Florida's stand-your-ground law applies.

Attorney Craig Sonner said the public is only hearing part of the story, and when all the facts come out, it will be clear that Zimmerman acted in self defense. A grand jury is scheduled to begin hearing the case April 10.

"George Zimmerman suffered a broken nose, and had an injury to the back of his head, he was attacked by Trayvon Martin on that evening," Sonner said. "This was a case of self defense."

The truth in this event will come out and Jessie Jackson will have egg on his face once again. And if Obama has any brains he'll keep his lying mouth out of it. If the radical blacks want to riot they will do as they did before, burn down their own buildings and loot from their own people.

Why can't people just get along. Not be so mean and defensive.
Such a sad world we live in now.

The question being though is does the stand your ground defense work, if you had been following the person for 10 minutes and then got out of your vehicle with the intent of some form of confrontation.

I really just hope this man doesn't get "railroaded" because of all the rallies & those trying to convict him without knowing what happened in the first place.

3:15 - name your source that your information comes from because I have not read one thing in your statement to back any of it up.

4:12 I don't think it was a statement. It was a question.

3:15 here again, and the info in my question came from the 911 recordings that were released in the days right after the shooting. Zimmerman tells the 911 operator that he is following Trayvon, and the operator tells him that they don't need him to do that, that police are on the way.

Why don't we wait till all the facts are in before we hang an innocent man. Just like when Obama made an ass of himself with the police officer then invited him to the White House for a beer.
