Sure I could, because I did it before I had one. I now have a smart phone. Without it life would certainly be a bit more difficut and complicated than it is with having my cell phone.
It's hard to find a pay phone now days if you get stranded on the road.
Yes, but it is nice when I have to travelto be able to keep up with the grandkids.

our phones are to keep in touch with children that do not have lan lines, and allows us to chat with them & the sweet little grandbabies that are a few hours away!! other than chatting with them our phones are silent most of the day, and that is not a bad thing!

We did away with our house phone, so we only have cell phones. So no I couldn't do without my phone.
Big brother would prefer that we have our cell phones on our person at all times.That approach is much easier and less invasive than forcing us to have a chip implanted.

Pay phones are a 20th century relic. Before we had cell phones, there were many pay phones all over the place.
When we were kids we made sure that we had an extra dime (or quarter, if you are younger) on us in case we needed to make a call. Many of us would keep that dime in our shoes (Penny loafers, anyone?)
Now, most all the pay phones are gone. Who needs `em, when everyone has their own cell phone?
Many folks no longer have permanent phone lines (land-lines). You can get a cell phone for the same or less money, and there are not as many taxes, surcharges, and fees added to cell phone costs either.
Bottom line: It's a different world out here in the 21st century now.
