Over the years Ocean City has changed in so many ways. The thing I miss the most is ____________.

Polite people on the beach and boardwalk.

Being able to go there for the weekend. Who can afford to pay those rates they charge at the hotels.

nothing.

Less buildings and less people. I seldom go to the beach anymore except in the off season. And then to Assateague.

anonymous 12:33, I'm with you on that one. I used to live on 54th street and winter was the most peaceful time there. The off season restaurant specials were always the bomb! $ .95 cent gas on the water for the boat and wave runner. Special place, special memories.

Mayor Kelly and 1 dollar a day bus fare.

Compare the price of fuel when Kelly ran the town to what it is now. It makes the $3 all day bus fair a real bargain. The ironic thing is that, even though it's cheap to move around town on the bus, there are far fewer places to go for good food or entertainment at a reasonable price. If OC were smart, they would realize that the commercial establishments are the engine that drives the economic machine. They do have some swell parking meters though.

When it (Ocean City) was our own little resort here on the Eastern Shore. Before all of "those" people come here and ruined it for all of us.

Weitzel's restaurant on 51st street...great family place with awesome chicken salad, fried chicken and crab soup. They served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretty much everthing on the menu was great. The restaurant was spotless and the service so friendly.

Sunday evenings in the summer when the Boardwalk was not insanely packed everyone was catching their breath before the next wave of week long tourist stays started on Monday

miss the "open, empty" beaches for stretches at a time. miss the "less traveled" boardwalk. miss the "family friendly" atmosphere.
